Introduction

LOST END FOUND LTD ("we", "our", or "us") operates scormspecialist.com. We are a private limited company registered in England & Wales (United Kingdom), with our principal place of business in Bishop's Stortford. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our website and the choices you have associated with that data.

We serve clients internationally, including in the United States. If you are based in the US (or elsewhere outside the UK / European Economic Area), please also read the International Data Transfers and Your Rights as a US / California Resident sections below.

Information We Collect

Contact Information

When you use our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Company name (optional)
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Message content

Email Signups

When you sign up for our newsletter, The SCORM Fix, or request our SCORM Testing Checklist PDF, we collect your email address, which form you used, whether you asked for the newsletter, and the date you confirmed. We send you a confirmation link first and only keep your address once you click it (double opt-in). Checklist-only requests are not added to our newsletter. If you tick the box on the checklist form, you also get three follow-up emails over two weeks before the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email, by replying to it, or via our contact form.

Analytics Data

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool. It does not use cookies or build a profile of you across other websites. It collects:

  • Page views
  • Referrer information
  • General location (country-level only)
  • Device type and browser

Umami may also record how a visit unfolds on the page (clicks, scrolling and navigation) so we can find and fix usability problems. Your name, email address and other single-line form fields are masked in these recordings, which are stored on our own infrastructure and used only to diagnose problems. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Send you information about our services (only if you've requested it)
  • Improve our website and services
  • Understand how visitors use our website

Data Storage and Security

Our website runs on Cloudflare's developer platform (Cloudflare Workers). Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email through Cloudflare's Email Service, and any files you attach are uploaded directly to Cloudflare R2 object storage, where they are automatically deleted after 30 days. Our contact form is protected against automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction, or damage.

International Data Transfers

We operate from the United Kingdom. Our website and the services that handle your submissions are provided by Cloudflare, Inc., whose global network processes data in data centers both inside and outside the UK and European Economic Area, including in the United States. Transfers of personal data to Cloudflare are covered by Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum, which incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. If you submit information to us from outside the UK / EEA, your personal data will also be received and processed by us in the United Kingdom, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. By submitting an enquiry or otherwise providing personal data through this site, you understand and consent to this.

We rely on the UK GDPR and EU GDPR as our baseline data-protection framework. Both regimes provide robust protections for personal data regardless of where the data subject is located, and the European Commission and the UK Government recognize each other's regimes as offering an adequate level of protection.

For clarity: we do not sell or share personal information within the meaning of the CCPA / CPRA, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. We also do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. These rights are listed here so you know they apply even though no "sale" of your data occurs.

Residents of other US states with comparable privacy laws (for example Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas) may exercise equivalent rights granted by their state law. Cookies

We do not set cookies on this website. Umami does not use cookies. The Cloudflare Turnstile check on our contact form does not use cookies for tracking or advertising; any data it stores is used solely to complete the check.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: For website hosting (Workers), delivery of contact form submissions by email (Email Service), storage of attached files (R2, deleted after 30 days) and anti-spam protection (Turnstile)
  • Umami: For privacy-friendly website analytics and usability recordings (self-hosted)
  • Manyreach: For storing confirmed email-signup subscribers and sending our newsletter

Data Retention

We retain your contact information for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and provide our services. If you request deletion of your data, we will delete it within 30 days unless we're required to retain it for legal purposes. We keep email-signup subscribers until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
